About Body Shape Calculator
Understanding your body shape helps you make better fashion choices, find clothes that fit well, and feel more confident. Our Body Shape Calculator uses your measurements to determine which of the five main body types best describes your figure.
How to Take Your Measurements
For accurate results, wear minimal clothing and use a flexible measuring tape:
Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level.
Waist: Measure the smallest part of your natural waist, typically just above your belly button.
Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hips and buttocks.
The Five Body Shape Types

| Pear (Triangle) | Hips are wider than bust, with a defined waist |
| Apple (Round) | Bust/midsection is larger than hips |
| Rectangle | Bust, waist, and hips are similar in measurement |
| Inverted Triangle | Shoulders/bust are wider than hips |
Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR)
Your waist-to-hip ratio is also calculated as it's an important health indicator:
Formula: WHR = Waist / Hip
Health Risk Guidelines (WHO):
- Women: WHR > 0.85 indicates increased health risk
- Men: WHR > 0.90 indicates increased health risk
Body Shape Classification Formulas
